Captain’s Rock Trail
Hiking trail available on the site of Les Toits du Monde leading to Nominingue Small Lake (deck, swimming), then to the Captain’s Rock (superb view over Nominingue Small Lake ). About 45min walk


The Renouveau Park (snowshoeing / cross-country skiing)

Description: Small ecological park of 400 acres, ideal for short family hikes. A path of hebertism (obstacles and wooden games a few feet above ground) has also been arranged for the delight of children, and sometimes even adults.

Details: Several trails between 1 and 5km available for snowshoeing and classic cross-country skiing (groomed tracks). You can often spot a beaver dam at the edge of the lake as you head for the observation site in the northwest of the park. A shelter is also at your disposal for a stopover, or to warm up around a fire.

Rates: Free access, snowshoe rental possible at the reception of Les Toits du Monde, $5 per person for the day.

Directions to get there from Les Toits du Monde : About 15 minutes drive. Turn right out of the parking lot. At the fork just before the stop turn left. At the stop, turn left to join the chemin du Tour du Lac or Route 321S. You will cross a bridge and then cross the village of Nominingue. At the stop just after the grocery store ” Le Tradition ” on your left, turn left on Chemin Saint-Anne (brown sign Park Renouveau). Then right on the path chemin des Marronniers. Drive about 4km then take the path to the right to get to the park at the sign.


Lac des Grandes Baies (snowshoeing / cross country skiing)

Description: Take your lunch and lunch to one of the shelters in the heart of the wilderness of Papineau-Labelle Reserve. Total change of scenery and enchanting scenery guaranteed!

Details: 4 snowshoes trails and nordic cross-country skiing (no tracks) for a total of 25km. Several shelters available along the tracks. Ice ring of 2km to skate.

Rates: Free, snowshoe rental possible at the reception of Les Toits du Monde, $5 per person for the day.

Directions to get there from Les Toits du Monde: About 25 minutes. Turn right out of the parking lot. At the fork just before the stop turn left. At the stop, turn left to join the chemin du Tour du Lac or Route 321S. You will cross a bridge and then cross the village of Nominingue. At the stop just after the ” Le Tradition ” grocery store on your left, turn left on Chemin Saint-Anne and drive about 1.2 km and turn left on chemin Chapleau. Drive about 3.2 kilometers and turn left on the chemin des Buses. Continue for another 6 kilometers and go to the end of the Chemin des Buses on the left side of Lac des Grandes-Baies. The trail departure is at the end of the road.
